Federal Highway Police seize firearm and illegal substances in Bahia

The Federal Highway Police (PRF) arrested a 41-year-old man on Sunday morning on the BR-242 highway in Palmeiras, Bahia. The arrest followed a traffic stop of a Chevrolet S10 after the driver attempted an illegal overtake.

During the search, officers discovered a loaded .380 caliber Glock pistol, three magazines, and 61 rounds of ammunition. Although the driver held a sports shooter registration, the weapon was being transported in violation of regulations.

Authorities also seized various illegal anabolic substances and medications without Anvisa registration, including Retatrutide, GH, and Testosterone. Additionally, police found electronic equipment without fiscal documentation and R$ 19,082.82 in cash. The driver also admitted to using altered license plates and driving a vehicle with expired registration.
