Federal Institute of Santa Catarina launches business pre-incubator

The Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC), an agency linked to the Ministry of Education, has launched the Fermenta IFSC business pre-incubator. The initiative is designed to support individuals looking to transform initial ideas into structured business proposals within the tourism, hospitality, gastronomy, and events sectors.

Applications are open to the external community until September 27. The program will select up to five proposals for a free seven-month journey involving training, mentoring, and business model structuring. The pre-incubation period is scheduled to run from October 2026 to April 2027.

Because the program targets the early idea stage, participants are not required to have a registered company, a finished product, or a complete business plan. Each proposal can include up to four members, including a leader, and must be able to participate in hybrid activities, both remote and in-person.
