Federal Institutes expand presence in Amambai and São Leopoldo
The Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) has signed a R$ 7.3 million contract to begin construction on its permanent headquarters in Amambai. The project involves the acquisition and installation of 11 modular habitable systems to create a physical structure covering 1,567.65 m². Funded by the Novo PAC through the Ministry of Education, the project aims to provide a dedicated space for approximately 370 students currently using provisional facilities.
In Rio Grande do Sul, the Federal Institute of Sul-rio-grandense (IFSul) inaugurated its first campus in São Leopoldo. Located in the former Centro de Eventos, the campus received an initial investment of R$ 2.1 million via the Novo PAC. The facility is currently hosting 38 students in a technical course for Systems Development, with future course offerings to be determined based on local market demands.
