Federal Police delegate indicted for racial injury in Londrina

The Civil Police of Paraná (PCPR) has concluded an investigation and indicted Federal Police delegate Carlos Miguel Pires Júnior for racial injury against three employees of a car rental company in Londrina. The incident occurred in July during a dispute regarding service failures.

According to victim testimonies, the delegate used discriminatory language and aggressive insults related to the employees' skin color, including terms such as ‘preto babaca’ and ‘mulato’. Victims reported feeling threatened by his behavior, noting that the verbal attacks continued even after a refund for the service issue was provided.

This incident followed a separate confrontation earlier that same day, in which the delegate was taken to a police station for contempt after refusing to identify himself during a military police traffic stop. The defense for the delegate stated they are analyzing the investigation and will not provide further details at this time. The case has now been forwarded to the Judiciary.
