Nideggen: 16-year-old motorcyclist seriously injured in single-vehicle accident

A 16-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured following a single-vehicle accident on the L11 highway near Nideggen. The incident occurred on a Monday around 11:40 AM while the youth was traveling from Kreuzau toward Berg.

The rider lost control in a right-hand curve for reasons that remain unclear. Emergency services transported the individual to a nearby clinic. A specialized accident reconstruction team from Euskirchen assisted the Düren police at the scene. The L11 was temporarily closed between Berg and Wollersheim during the investigation and was reopened by mid-afternoon. There were no immediate indications of alcohol or drug involvement.
