Federal Road Safety Corps promotes 7,472 personnel

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has approved the promotion of 7,472 personnel nationwide to enhance professionalism and leadership within its operations. The group of promoted staff includes 2,134 officers and 5,338 marshals. Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed stated that the elevation is intended to reward merit, discipline, and years of service, noting that every new rank must translate into higher levels of accountability and service delivery.

Decorations for the newly promoted personnel are scheduled to take place between August 26 and August 28, 2026, under the direction of various department heads and commanding officers.

Beyond administrative changes, the FRSC is increasingly integrating technology into its operations. The agency utilizes cameras, monitoring systems, and data tools to track road activities and prevent accidents. Corps Marshal Mohammed emphasized that the effectiveness of the organization relies not only on enforcement architecture and technology but fundamentally on the character and commitment of its personnel in managing road safety.
