Federal University of Goiás celebrates 50 years of Tropical Medicine program

The Graduate Program in Tropical Medicine and Public Health (PPGMTSP) at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026. To mark five decades of scientific production and researcher training, the Institute of Tropical Pathology and Public Health (IPTSP/UFG) will hold a commemorative ceremony on October 14, 2026.

Additionally, the IPTSP/UFG is hosting its 23rd Seminar under the theme ‘Health and Science: Sharing to Transform’. The event is currently accepting abstract submissions for scientific research and university extension projects until September 28. The seminar will coincide with several academic weeks, including Biotechnology, Physiotherapy, and Graduate Studies, covering thematic areas such as Bacteriology, Epidemiology, Immunology, and Virology.
