Federal University of Paraíba investigates Nazi symbols found in bathrooms

The Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB) in João Pessoa has issued a formal repudiation following the discovery of Nazi swastikas spray-painted in campus bathrooms. The university administration classified the vandalism as an act of intimidation and noted that the use of such symbols exceeds the limits of freedom of expression, as the swastika represents a regime responsible for the extermination of millions.

The university rectorate has contacted the Federal Police and other relevant authorities to investigate the authorship of the graffiti. This incident follows a student demonstration held on the campus on October 8, which focused on defending democracy and diversity.

The event occurs amid a period of intense political polarization in Brazil.
