Federal University of Rondônia launches Indigenous Teacher Training enrollment

The Federal University of Rondônia (UNIR) issued an enrollment notice for its Licenciatura em Educação Básica Intercultural, a free undergraduate program aimed at training Indigenous teachers.

The first call enables candidates approved in the 2025 selection to register online from 11 May to 8 June 2026 for a start in the second semester of 2026. A second call opens from 1 to 31 August 2026 for the 2027 cohort, offering 50 seats across two specializations—Intercultural Fundamental Education and Intercultural School Management and Sciences. The selection exam is set for 27 September 2026, with final results on 2 March 2027. Applicants must be Indigenous, have completed high school, and submit the required Indigenous declaration documents through UNIR’s online portal.
