Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina begins increased pension payments

Pensioners in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina are receiving increased pension payments for August. The Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Institute has implemented a final pension adjustment rate of 3.82%, effective from July 1, 2026. This decision follows official data from the Federal Bureau of Statistics regarding average wage increases and the consumer price index during the first half of the year.

In addition to the increased August payments, beneficiaries will also receive retroactive differences for July. This is because July payments were previously adjusted by an interim rate of 3.5%, and the new 3.82% rate accounts for the remaining 0.32% difference.

For those who earned pension rights before January 1, 2026, the lowest pension is 692.23 KM, the guaranteed pension is 826.14 KM, and the highest is 3,461.14 KM. For those qualifying after January 1, 2026, the base for calculating the lowest pension is 752.03 KM.
