Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina expands medical drug lists

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has expanded the Solidarity Fund's drug list and the mandatory health insurance drug list during an emergency telephone session.

New therapies, specifically pembrolizumab and atezolizumab, have been added to the Solidarity Fund list to provide advanced treatment options for patients with several severe malignant diseases, subject to professional medical criteria. Additionally, the mandatory health insurance list was updated to include sodium oxybate for patients suffering from narcolepsy with cataplexy.

According to Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić, these updates reflect a commitment to increasing investment in the Solidarity Fund. Over the past four years, 296 million KM has been allocated to the Fund, which is 60 million KM more than the total allocated for the same purpose during the preceding eight years.
