Bosnia and Herzegovina raises July pensions by up to 3.5%
The Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Fund announced that July pension payments will start on 5 August 2026, covering about 471,578 retirees across Bosnia and Herzegovina. An “accrual adjustment” of 3.5 % is applied to pensions earned up to 1 January 2026, using a formula that weights 60 % wage growth and 40 % consumer‑price‑index growth. The lowest pension after the increase is 690.10 KM, the guaranteed minimum is 823.59 KM and the highest pension reaches 3 450.47 KM. The same adjustment applies in the Republika Srpska entity, where the Ministry of Finance confirmed a budget allocation of 180 million KM for the July payouts. Recipients will receive the increase automatically through the existing payment channels – banks for those paid by direct deposit and post offices for those paid by mail – with no additional applications required.
