Federazione Campanari Bergamaschi honors bell ringer Lorenzo Anesa

The Federazione Campanari Bergamaschi is observing the tenth anniversary of the passing of Lorenzo Anesa, a master bell ringer from Gandino who died in September 2016.

Anesa, born in 1951, was a dedicated practitioner of the bell-ringing tradition, having learned the craft from masters Andrea and Pasquale Castelli. He was noted for his ability to express complex musicality through bell ringing and for his craftsmanship in building various musical instruments, including bells made of glass, aluminum, and brass. His technical contributions and musical style continue to be studied and preserved by the association and younger generations of bell ringers.
