Federica Brignone leaves Carabinieri to join Ski Club Courmayeur

Italian alpine skier Federica Brignone has officially left the Centro Sportivo Carabinieri, the military body that has supported her since 2007. After expressing her intention to leave in August, her official discharge was finalized on October 26.

Brignone, a double Olympic champion, will return to her roots by competing for Ski Club Courmayeur, the club where she began her career. While her professional status changes from military to civilian, her sporting eligibility remains intact through affiliation with the Italian Ski Federation (Fisi).

Brignone expressed gratitude to the Carabinieri for their support throughout her successful career. She will continue to work alongside her brother, Davide, and awaits medical clearance to return to competitive racing following previous injuries.
