Federico García Lorca's cultural legacy celebrated in Valencia

During a conference organized by the political party UCE in Valencia, speakers discussed the enduring cultural legacy of the Spanish poet Federico García Lorca. Ninety years after his death, participants noted that his works continue to fill theaters and resonate with readers globally.

Lluís Pasqual, a member of the Academy of Performing Arts of Spain and a Catalan theater director, remarked on the complexities of Lorca’s identity and the reasons behind the historical opposition to his life and work. Speakers emphasized that despite past attempts to silence his contributions, Lorca’s influence remains a vital connection for intergenerational audiences.
