Federico Gatti transfer to FC Porto denied

Reports regarding a potential transfer of Juventus defender Federico Gatti to FC Porto have been dismissed. Despite recent speculation that the center-back might move to the Portuguese league before the transfer window closed, market expert Fabrizio Romano clarified that serious negotiations never took place.

Romano stated that the option “never really heated up” and noted that Porto president Villas Boas personally sought to deny the possibility. The lack of progress was attributed to the fact that there was no margin to complete a deal under the required conditions, rather than a lack of interest in the player. With the Portuguese transfer window now closed, Gatti remains at Juventus.
