Federico Mottica's debut film 'È un mondo difficile' premieres at Alice nella Città

Federico Mottica's directorial debut, 'È un mondo difficile', has been presented at the 2026 Alice nella Città film festival. The film was selected for the Panorama Italia – Concorso section, a competitive category dedicated to representative contemporary Italian cinema.

Set in Rome, the film explores generational precariousness through the lives of two young people navigating artistic ambitions and the uncertainties of modern life. The title and tone of the work are inspired by the song 'È un mondo difficile' by Tonino Carotone, blending irony with melancholy to depict the struggle of finding one's path in a contemporary landscape.

The project is produced by Anemone Film in collaboration with Rai Cinema, involving producers Gianluca Arcopinto, Walter de Majo, Alessandro Elia, and Mottica himself.
