Federico Otermín advances political expansion and disability adoption law
Federico Otermín, the Mayor of Lomas de Zamora and Vice President of the Buenos Aires Peronist Party, is advancing two distinct political and social initiatives.
In a strategic move to expand the political influence of the Liga de Intendentes, Otermín visited San Miguel del Monte to support provincial deputy Marcela Basualdo. The visit aims to integrate “landless” leaders—politicians who operate in districts not governed by Peronism—into the party's territorial network to strengthen future electoral prospects.
Simultaneously, Otermín met with National Deputy Victoria Tolosa Paz and the Mayor of Pilar, Federico Achával, to promote the “Ley Estefanía” (Estefanía Law). This legislative project seeks to establish a national framework to facilitate the adoption of children and adolescents with disabilities or complex illnesses. The law also aims to provide necessary resources and support for applicants with disabilities who wish to adopt.
