Federsanità hosts IV Health Communication States General in Rome

Federsanità held the fourth edition of the States General of Health Communication in Rome, centered on the theme “Every voice counts.” The event emphasized the role of communication as a tool for care, aiming to help citizens navigate services, foster trust, and improve access to healthcare through better coordination between institutions and the public.

A highlight of the event was the inaugural Contronarrazione Award, which recognized healthcare organizations for innovative communication projects. Winners included ASL Sulcis for citizen engagement, the Lazio Region for public communication, ASP Udine for digital and social media initiatives, and AOM Liguria for language innovation.

In contrast to the event's focus on effective communication, reports from Mazara del Vallo highlighted local failures by the ASP of Trapani. Residents faced confusion regarding the suspension of ticket payments at the Abele Ajello hospital due to inadequate signage and a lack of official information, despite formal requests for clarification sent to the extraordinary commissioner.
