FedEx and Junior Achievement announce Asia Pacific trade challenge winners
Federal Express Corporation and Junior Achievement (JA) have announced the winners of the 2026 FedEx/JA International Trade Challenge Asia Pacific finals. Held in Singapore, the event marked the 20th anniversary of the initiative, which aims to equip youth with skills in global commerce, business strategy, and entrepreneurship.
This year, the competition drew over 4,000 participants from eight markets: Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and Hong Kong SAR. The regional finals featured 48 elite students who were tasked with developing a market entry strategy for Cambodia. The challenge required teams to design an innovative, eco-friendly product that repurposes discarded packaging into solutions providing social, environmental, or economic benefits.
To promote cross-cultural collaboration, students from different territories were paired into teams. They presented their business models to a judging panel composed of Singaporean entrepreneurs and small business leaders. Salil Chari, president of Asia Pacific at FedEx, noted that the program has evolved from a trade workshop into a platform for fostering real-world business acumen and regional collaboration.
