Italian rapper Federico Lucia, known as Fedez, was admitted to Milan’s Fatebenefratelli Hospital on 20 July 2026 after a severe gastrointestinal bleed caused by a stomach ulcer. He was later transferred to Humanitas Hospital in Rozzano for gastro‑enterology care. During his stay six anonymous blood donors provided transfusions that he says saved his life.

After being discharged, Fedez posted a reflective Instagram message thanking the donors, speaking about the preciousness of time and his fear of not seeing his family again.
