Fedombal announces 25-player preselection for basketball qualifiers

The Dominican Basketball Federation (Fedombal) has announced a 25-player preselection for the men's national team ahead of the fourth window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 qualifiers.

The roster includes notable players such as Karl-Anthony Towns, Alfred Horford, Chris Duarte, Andrés Feliz, Jean Montero, and Jassel Pérez. From this group, a final 12-player squad will be selected for the upcoming matches.

Argentine coach Néstor “Ché” García will remain at the helm of the team. The Dominican Republic, currently holding a 4-2 record in Group E, is scheduled to play two decisive matches in late August. They will face Brazil (6-0) in Brasilia on August 27, followed by a home game against Chile (2-4) in Santo Domingo on August 31.
