Fedosa to inaugurate softball pitcher and catcher academy

The Dominican Softball Federation (Fedosa) is set to inaugurate a specialized Academy for Pitchers and Catchers for the molinete softball modality on Wednesday, October 14. The ceremony will take place at the Fedosa softball complex located in the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center in Santo Domingo.

Fedosa President Garibaldy Bautista stated that the program, directed by Pedro Franco, aims to strengthen the technical preparation of players in these critical positions. The initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure generational renewal for national teams as part of the Olympic cycle leading up to the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games.

The academy follows previous talent identification efforts and tryouts conducted across various locations in the country. The program will be managed by federation technicians to focus on pitch control, strategy, and the coordination between pitchers and catchers.
