FEGA sets provisional 2026 ecoregime amounts for Spanish farmers
The Spanish Agricultural Guarantee Fund (FEGA) has established the provisional unit amounts for ecoregimes for the 2026 campaign. These ecoregimes are voluntary programs for farmers and ranchers who implement climate and environmental practices that exceed standard requirements.
Due to the crisis in the Middle East and rising fertilizer costs, the European Union has authorized increased flexibility for the 2026 campaign. Advances can now be requested as early as October 16 and may reach up to 75% of the total payment, compared to the usual 70% limit. The remaining balance can be paid between December 1 and June 30 of the following year.
The provisional amounts are based on surfaces requested by producers and communicated by autonomous communities. Specific rates include €953.30 per hectare for traditional raisins, €591.75 for spring-sown sugar beet, €331.25 for autumn-sown sugar beet, and €282.68 for tomatoes intended for processing. These figures remain provisional and may be revised during the first balance payment starting December 1.
