Fehérvár FC ownership talks move to British Racing City Group

Negotiations for the sale of Fehérvár FC Kft. have moved to the second-place bidder, the British Racing City Group. This development follows the failure of negotiations with the original first-place bidder, an American-Portuguese group, which initially expressed intent to withdraw after a 45-day period but later indicated they remain interested now that previous obstacles have been clarified.

Székesfehérvár Mayor András Cser-Palkovics stated that the city council is proceeding with the British group provided they meet specific legal, financial, and security requirements. Key conditions include the full payment of a 532 million HUF purchase price and the provision of a guarantee for a minimum three-year investment of approximately 5.3 billion HUF, verified by an acceptable external expert firm.

If the negotiations with the British investors are successful, they will become the new owners of the club. If the talks fail, the city will be required to launch a new tender process.
