FEI partners with Signify to curb online hate at 2026 World Equestrian Championships

FEI Signify Group online harassment AI moderation 2026 World Championships

The International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) announced a partnership with the UK‑based firm Signify Group to protect riders, trainers, officials and other participants from online harassment during the 2026 World Equestrian Championships. Using artificial‑intelligence tools and continuous moderation, the joint effort will flag risky comments and remove abusive content both before and throughout the event.

The initiative follows a pilot project run at the world‑cup final in Fort Worth, USA, earlier this year, which FEI said was well‑received. FEI legal chief Mikael Rentsch reiterated the federation’s zero‑tolerance stance on cyber‑bullying, adding that constructive criticism remains welcome.

The programme aims to create a safer digital environment for the equestrian community worldwide, with AI monitoring and human oversight working together to identify and de‑escalate threats.
