FEICON Rio construction fair opens in Rio de Janeiro
The inaugural FEICON Rio construction industry trade fair is currently taking place at Riocentro in Rio de Janeiro, running until October 8. The event serves as a hub for companies, professionals, and engineers to showcase new products and facilitate business connections within the construction supply chain.
During the opening ceremony, Julio Pereira, executive president of the Anamaco System, addressed the challenges facing Brazilian housing. He advocated for the establishment of a permanent national policy focused on housing renovations. Pereira emphasized that dignified housing involves not only building new homes but also providing accessible and consistent financing programs to allow families to expand and improve their existing residences.
Market interest in the region remains high, with the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Firjan) projecting investments of R$ 41 billion in infrastructure projects and R$ 20 billion in urban development through 2028. Exhibitors at the event, including Zagonel, Âncora Group, and Sotreq, reported strong engagement and high-quality professional attendance during the first days of the fair.
