Feijó and Penedo municipalities adjust public employee hours and pay
The municipal government of Feijó approved Law No. 1,265, amending its Plan of Positions, Careers and Remuneration (PCCR). The amendment reduces the weekly work schedule for social assistance professionals from 40 to 30 hours while keeping salaries, benefits and job levels unchanged. Funding will come from the city’s budget, with administrative adjustments to attendance control and service organization.
In Penedo, Mayor Ronaldo Lopes sent a draft law to the city council proposing a 5.4% salary increase for all permanent education staff, including teachers and support personnel. The raise will be applied retroactively from May 1 and follows a series of previous increases aimed at valuing municipal education workers. The proposal awaits council approval before taking effect.
