Feijó Mayor blames state health delays for death of municipal servant

Anderson Montefusco, a 32-year-old municipal public servant, died in Feijó, Acre, while awaiting an air ambulance for specialized treatment. The patient had suffered a heart attack and was reportedly stabilized by local medical staff before his death on Monday (21).

Feijó Mayor Railson Ferreira criticized the state government's health regulation services, specifically the Tratamento Fora de Domicílio (TFD) managed by the Acre State Health Secretariat (Sesacre). The mayor stated that Montefusco was medically fit for transfer and that the delay in providing an aircraft prevented him from receiving the necessary care to save his life.

While acknowledging the high quality of care provided by the local hospital staff, the mayor called for urgent improvements in healthcare assistance for residents in the interior of the state, regardless of the current administration.
