Feira Cores e Sabores celebrates 4 years in Petrópolis
The Feira Cores e Sabores is celebrating four years of uninterrupted operation with a special commemorative edition in Vale das Videiras, Petrópolis. The event, scheduled for Saturday, August 22, from 10:00 to 15:00, will feature free entry, musical performances, and a celebratory cake cutting at midday.
Originally established in 2016 under the Associação de Amigos do Vale das Videiras (AMAVALE), the fair was paused during the pandemic but has since resumed weekly operations. The market currently hosts 19 producers per session, consisting of 60% permanent and 40% rotating vendors to ensure variety. Over its history, more than 150 producers and artisans have participated.
Attendees can find organic vegetables, fruits, homemade seasonings, cheeses, jams, and traditional sweets, alongside items such as acarajé, pastries, and Serra Velha beer. The fair also showcases various crafts, including ceramics, woodwork, knitting, silver jewelry, and natural cosmetics.
