Feira da Lua fairs energize local economies across Brazil

In the municipality of Tupã, weekly open‑air markets continue to provide fresh food, varied products and direct contact between shoppers and vendors. The town added a new "Feira da Lua" on July 31, featuring gastronomy, crafts, local horticulture, entrepreneurs and a musical performance by the duo Marcos Paulo & Candé, expanding leisure options for families and creating new sales opportunities for small producers.

Meanwhile, the Feira da Lua celebrated its 25th anniversary on August 1‑2 at the Shopping Gilberto Salomão in Brasília’s Lago Sul. The free, pet‑friendly event gathered about 100 exhibitors of fashion, art, décor and food, expecting over 8,000 visitors. It included a cultural tea week, workshops, lectures and showcases of handmade goods, reinforcing the fair’s mission to connect creators with consumers. Organizer Ana Cristina Alvarenga highlighted the fair’s role in supporting entrepreneurial growth over the past quarter‑century.
