Feira de Santana and Chamber of Deputies partner for digital TV

The Feira de Santana Municipal Chamber has signed a cooperation agreement with the Chamber of Deputies to implement and operate a digital TV transmission system through the 'Programa Brasil Digital'. This initiative, published in the Electronic Official Gazette, aims to expand free, high-quality open digital television signals to Brazilian municipalities lacking public and legislative coverage.

The system will utilize multiprogramming technology, allowing multiple programming streams to be broadcast simultaneously on a single digital channel. This will provide dedicated slots for TV Câmara dos Deputados, TV Assembleia, TV Câmara Municipal, TV Senado, and Rádio Câmara.

The Ministry of Communications will donate necessary equipment, including transmitters, satellite dishes, and receivers, via the 'Programa Brasil Digital'. While the basic infrastructure like transmission towers will be shared, the Chamber of Deputies is responsible for technical standards and radio frequency authorization. The Feira de Santana Municipal Chamber will manage technical requirements, provide the local TV signal, and handle the preventive and corrective maintenance of the equipment.
