Feira de Santana expands bus routes to improve citywide connectivity

The municipality of Feira de Santana, Brazil, announced a comprehensive overhaul of its urban bus system through the Secretariat of Municipal Mobility (SEMOB). Effective 18 May 2026, lines 200 and 200A will start at the Paradiso and Sevilha condomínios in Jardim Europa and will serve the Mirassol, Pescara, Planolar and Shopping Boulevard corridors before terminating at the Central Terminal. New routes 078, 078A and 078B have been added to increase service along Avenida Ayrton Senna, especially near the Ravenna housing complex.

The changes aim to ease daily travel, connect residential neighborhoods with commercial hubs, and reduce congestion. Buses will operate weekdays from 06:00 to 23:00 and Saturdays from 06:00 to 14:20. Riders will receive on‑board assistance during the first days, free issuance of new Via Feira cards, and continued availability of the social card. Real‑time tracking is available via the SIU Mobile and Cittamobi apps.
