Feira de Santana marks 193 years with cultural and educational initiatives

Feira de Santana, the second largest city in Bahia, is marking its 193rd anniversary with various cultural, educational, and community events.

Local history and traditions are being highlighted through the exploration of the city's eight districts, which maintain unique identities ranging from the religious traditions of Tiquaruçu to the industrial potential of Humildes. Urban landmarks such as the Mercado de Arte Popular, Feiraguay, and the Paço Municipal continue to serve as symbols of the city's evolution and cultural preservation.

In the educational sector, the Municipal Education Secretariat (Seduc) is conducting workshops with early childhood educators to develop a Municipal Plan for Early Childhood. Additionally, technical students recently visited the local Procon office to study consumer rights and administrative conflict resolution. Other community activities include the 48th Spiritist Week, focusing on mental health and fraternity, and scientific exhibitions featuring student projects.
