Feira de Santana police seize R$ 350,000 vehicle in fraud probe

The Civil Police of Bahia seized a Toyota Hilux SW4, valued at approximately R$ 350,000, in the Queimadinha neighborhood of Feira de Santana. The seizure was conducted during the execution of a search and seizure warrant as part of an ongoing investigation into vehicle sales fraud.

A man found with the vehicle was taken to a police station for questioning. He claimed to have purchased the car for roughly R$ 320,000 and stated he was unaware of any irregularities in the transaction. Investigators are currently analyzing the payment methods and the involvement of other parties.

The operation is being led by the Theft and Robbery Repression Police Stations of Itabuna and Feira de Santana, both linked to the Specialized Department of Criminal Investigations (Deic). This investigation follows the recent arrest of a 25-year-old man in Parauapebas, Pará, who is suspected of involvement in multiple fraud cases affecting the Itabuna and Itapetinga regions.
