Feira de Santana Procon achieves 41% consumer complaint resolution rate

The Superintendence of the consumer protection agency (Procon) in Feira de Santana reported that it resolved 41% of consumer complaints between January and May, completing about 3,650 cases within the 30‑day deadline out of roughly 9,000 total requests. The results were presented to Mayor José Ronaldo de Carvalho by Procon superintendent Maurício Carvalho during a visit to the office on Friday.

The Procon team, consisting of around 60 legal professionals and interns, serves an average of 50 people daily from Monday to Friday, opening its doors for initial triage as early as 7:40 a.m. Staff members were noted to be wearing blue jerseys of the Brazilian national football team during the visit, a gesture meant to foster community connection.
