Feira de Santana ranked 3rd for quality of life in Northeast Brazil

Feira de Santana, located in the state of Bahia, has been ranked as the third best city for quality of life among large municipalities in Northeast Brazil. The study, conducted by Austin Rating in partnership with Veja, evaluated over 5,500 Brazilian municipalities using 253 different indicators.

In the ranking of Northeastern cities with populations exceeding 200,000 inhabitants, Feira de Santana followed only João Pessoa (PB) and São Luís (MA), placing ahead of major capitals such as Salvador, Recife, and Fortaleza. The city showed strong performance in several specific categories, including ranking 6th in the application of public resources for health and education.

Additionally, the city secured 8th place in housing and 9th place in business and payment capacity among large Northeastern municipalities. In a separate category for medium-sized cities (50,000 to 200,000 inhabitants), the municipality of Luís Eduardo Magalhães in Bahia took first place in the region.
