Feira de Santana, located in the interior of Bahia, has been recognized by Veja Negócios as one of the best cities in Brazil. The certification highlights the municipality's performance in the Northeast region across fiscal, economic, social, and digital indicators.

With a population exceeding 660,000, Feira de Santana is the second most populous city in Bahia and holds the state's third-largest GDP. The city serves as a major commercial and service hub for the region, driven by sectors such as services, commerce, and manufacturing. Its strategic location at a major road junction in the Northeast facilitates logistics and investment, supported by the Centro Industrial do Subaé (CIS).

Financially, the municipality manages an annual budget of approximately R$ 3 billion, maintaining low debt levels and fiscal responsibility. The city also acts as a regional reference for healthcare and education, providing complex medical services and higher education institutions to the surrounding area.
