Feira de Santana teacher targeted in AI deepfake porn; two teens identified

Police investigators in Bahia identified two adolescents as the creators of AI‑generated pornographic videos that used the likeness of a 47‑year‑old teacher from Feira de Santana. The deepfake videos, posted on an adult‑content platform on 20 July, amassed about 27,000 views before being discovered.

The investigation, led by the Delegacia para o Adolescente Infrator, traced the crime to a computer used by the suspects. Delegada Clécia Vasconcelos confirmed the case is in its final phase and emphasized that virtual crimes are subject to criminal responsibility. The teacher, whose image was manipulated without consent, described feeling fear, anxiety and indignation upon learning her likeness had been exploited.

Deepfake sexual content, produced with artificial‑intelligence tools that blend real photos or videos into fabricated explicit scenes, is increasingly recognized as a form of digital abuse. Authorities are now focusing on preventing further misuse of such technology.
