Feira FC targets promotion while Bahia clubs lock in Série D spots for 2027

Goalkeeper Rafael Pin said Feira FC remain confident ahead of the decisive second‑leg semi‑final in the Campeonato Baiano Série B, where a win will secure the team’s place in the state’s top division for 2027. The first leg ended 0‑0, and the return match on Sunday will decide who advances to the final and earns promotion to the elite tier of Bahia football.

Meanwhile, changes to Brazil’s Série D format have confirmed that three Bahia clubs – Jacuipense, Juazeirense and Jequié – will compete in the 2027 Série D season. The expansion of the competition to 96 teams and new rules on progression mean the clubs must reach the third phase to guarantee a spot next year, while the state championship’s allocation of national tournament slots will be determined by forthcoming regulations from the Federação Bahiana de Futebol.

Both developments shape the pathway for Bahia teams toward national competitions such as the Copa do Brasil and Copa do Nordeste in the coming seasons.
