Felanitx Protest Demands Accountability for July 26 Police Action
Around 300 people gathered on Tuesday evening in front of the Felanitx town hall to condemn police charges recorded on July 26 and to call for responsibility. The demonstration, organized by groups including Menys Turisme, Més Vida, Obra Cultural Baleary, and El Cosso, featured banners demanding justice and the right to a dignified life. Participants demanded that officials assume responsibility for the police conduct.
The protest remained peaceful and concluded with a recitation by poet Miquel Servera. It followed an earlier gathering at the Balearic government delegation where organizers asked for the resignation of Alfonso Rodríguez, whom they hold politically accountable for the police actions on July 26.
