Felca returns to social media revealing social phobia diagnosis
Brazilian influencer Felipe Bressanim Pereira, known as Felca, has returned to social media after a seven-month hiatus. In a video titled ‘fobia social’, released on World Bullying Prevention Day, he revealed a diagnosis of Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD).
Felca detailed eight years of severe bullying experienced between the ages of 12 and 18, including physical assaults and verbal humiliation. He linked these traumas to his struggle with social interaction and revealed that he had previously relied on alcohol to cope with professional commitments, such as recordings and public events, which once led to a domestic accident resulting in broken ribs.
His return follows a period of intense public scrutiny after his previous investigative work on the ‘adultization’ of children online, which helped drive the passage of the ‘ECA Digital’ law. While some followers expected a political statement due to the proximity of the second round of elections, the content focused on his personal mental health journey. Felca announced the ‘#SimFel’ project, a 90-day challenge aimed at confronting his social phobia by accepting social invitations and conducting free lectures on bullying in schools.
