Felipe Neto apologizes for religious misconception regarding Exu

Influencer Felipe Neto has issued a public apology following controversy over his use of the term ‘Tranca-Rua’ as a reference to the devil in a horror-themed video. The mistake sparked a discussion regarding religious prejudice against African-matrix religions.

Medium and seer Robério de Ogum addressed the incident, clarifying that Exu is a guardian and a figure of protection rather than a representation of the devil. He noted that while such misconceptions have persisted for generations, the incident highlights the ongoing need to demystify these religious concepts and combat intolerance.

Neto acknowledged his error on social media, stating he had been incorrectly taught that the term was a nickname for the devil. He apologized to followers of African-matrix religions, attributing the mistake to ignorance. Robério de Ogum praised the influencer for publicly recognizing the error and seeking to understand the correct religious context.
