Felix Gall wins Burgos stage and seizes overall lead

Austrian rider Felix Gall of Decathlon CMA CGM claimed victory on the third stage of the Ronde van Burgos. Gall launched a decisive attack on the steep Puerto del Escudo climb – a 7 km ascent averaging a 9 % gradient – and held off rival Oscar Onley to finish ahead, taking the race lead in the general classification.

The stage featured six third‑category climbs before the final summit, and saw other contenders such as Nairo Quintana, Pavel Sivakov and Jay Vine encounter mechanical problems. Gall’s win positions him as a key challenger ahead of the upcoming Vuelta a Espana.
