Felix Ike of Moniepoint named to TIME’s inaugural tech leaders list

Felix Ike, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Moniepoint, has been named to TIME’s inaugural ‘Executives of the Year: Tech and Data’ list. Ike is the sole African executive included in the 50-person global ranking, which features leaders from major companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Netflix, and Shopify.

Since co-founding Moniepoint with CEO Tosin Eniolorunda in 2015, Ike has led the engineering of the platform’s core infrastructure. The fintech company, which achieved unicorn status in 2024, currently serves over 10 million businesses and individuals. Its systems power approximately 80% of all in-person digital payment transactions in Nigeria.

Ike noted that the recognition demonstrates that Nigerian-engineered technology can compete on a global scale alongside established hubs like Silicon Valley. This honor follows Moniepoint’s previous inclusion in TIME’s 2025 list of the 100 Most Influential Companies.
