Felix Rosenqvist clinches Indy 500 with closest finish, nets record $4.34 million prize

Swedish driver Felix Rosenqvist won the Indianapolis 500 on March 24, edging his rival by just 0.0233 seconds – the closest margin in the race’s 110‑year history. The victory came for Meyer Shank Racing in partnership with Curb Records and Curb‑Agajanian.

Rosenqvist’s win also set a financial record, earning a $4.34 million payout, the highest single‑race prize in Indy 500 history. The total purse for the 2026 event rose to $30.906 million, up from $20.283 million the previous year, reflecting the growing commercial strength of the flagship motorsport event.
