Female Drivers Lead Night Races in Cuiabá, Brazil
On July 31, 2024, Curitiba‑born Michaela Gulin Peixoto won the Super Feminina class of the Copa Hyundai HB20 2026 at the Autódromo Internacional de Mato Grosso in Cuiabá. Driving Hyundai HB20 #73 with backing from Helisul Aviação and other sponsors, she started third after the grid inversion and secured victory after 11 laps, while Rodrigo Cartolano won the overall race.
The following day, the inaugural night race of the NASCAR Brasil series was held at the same circuit. Bruna Tomaselli earned a podium finish in the Challenge category, moving into second place in the rookie standings, and Colombian driver Tata Calderón climbed 12 positions to finish ninth overall and fourth in Challenge. Both highlighted the growing strength of female competitors in Brazilian motorsport.
