Denmark traffic incidents and wildlife safety warnings
Authorities in Denmark are highlighting increased risks of wildlife collisions, particularly involving deer, during the autumn months. The Road Safety Council advises motorists to reduce speed in forested or green areas and to remain vigilant for animals emerging from roadsides, noting that collisions can cause severe damage to vehicles, animals, and humans.
Multiple traffic incidents have been reported across the country. On the Øresund Motorway, an accident caused significant congestion, while the Holbæk Motorway also experienced delays due to a crash. On the E20 West Motorway near Køge, an accident led to heavy traffic for east-bound drivers. Additionally, a single-vehicle accident caused by aquaplaning occurred on Route 502 between Snejbjerg and Sinding, and another aquaplaning incident blocked a lane on Route 18 between Søby and Herning.
In separate incidents, a driver in Copenhagen had a taxi impounded following a high-speed violation, and a driver in Nyråd was arrested for driving with a blood alcohol content exceeding 2.0.
