Female tourism leaders convene in Mexico to launch #SaveHer movement

The 8th Annual Female Leaders in Travel Conclave took place at the El Dorado Royale in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. The international event brought together 55 travel agency owners and executives from the United States and Canada, members of the Travel Allies Society, to discuss industry challenges and strategic innovation.

A central highlight of the meeting was the introduction of #SaveHer, an international movement designed to increase female representation within the tourism ecosystem through professional development, mentorship programs, and support networks.

Discussions focused on four strategic areas: integrating artificial intelligence into travel agencies while maintaining personalized service, developing resilient leadership amidst global economic shifts, and finding new commercial models to improve profitability. Dolores López Lira, President of the Grupo Lomas Council, served as the honorary host, emphasizing that increased female decision-making can drive sustainable growth and community development.
