Femi Gbajabiamila cleared of wrongdoing by Nigerian security agencies
Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, has announced that investigations by the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) have cleared him of all wrongdoing. The investigations were related to allegations involving a purported organization known as the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC).
Speaking at the 2026 Gbaja Mega Empowerment Programme in Lagos, Gbajabiamila noted that the recent months of scrutiny and accusations had tested his integrity. He expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for adhering to due process and allowing the investigations to conclude before making any judgments. He further stated that the findings and investigative reports are now in the public domain.
During the empowerment event in the Surulere Federal Constituency, Gbajabiamila distributed approximately ₦1.15bn in support to 5,000 beneficiaries. The assistance included cash grants, vehicles such as electric cars, minibuses, and tricycles, as well as laptops and other trade support assets.
